Doug Bailey

President, Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Doug Bailey is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of extensive commercial experience, ranging from heavy infrastructure construction to oil and gas exploration and production. Since the early 2000s, Mr. Bailey has been exclusively engaged in the oil and gas industry, where he has been instrumental in founding and developing numerous start-ups across the upstream, services, and energy transition sectors.

Mr. Bailey has raised more than $1 billion in equity, debt, and hybrid securities. His track record reflects a profound depth and breadth of expertise in capital markets, enabling him to craft tailored financial solutions that benefit both investors and corporations. This strategic acumen facilitates both successful returns on capital for investors while advancing the objectives of our portfolio companies.

Kevin Braun

Chief Financial Officer

(Calgary, Alberta)

With over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Kevin Braun has extensive expertise in senior financial leadership, strategy, financial reporting, corporate accounting, budgeting and forecasting, process improvement, as well as stewardship of internal controls. 

Mr. Braun has been involved with debt and equity financings, most notably Athabasca Oil Corporation’s 2010 IPO, which was the largest energy IPO in Canada at the time. 

Mr. Braun is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
